How We're Responding to Coronavirus

No one should go hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic. With school closures, job disruptions, and health risks, families in our communities need us now more than ever. Here's how we're responding to the challenge.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are committed to serving our communities and children, with its network of local volunteers Ruidoso Food 4 Kids continues to provide BackPack food packages to ensure that this pandemic does not mean missed meals. All health instructions are strictly followed and each bag is prepared in accordance with the safety and hygiene rules that protect both recipients and volunteers.

How Our COVID-19 Weekend BackPack Program Works:

Weekend meal bags are available for pickup from 10:15 am to 1:00 pm for Food 4 Kids participants at the following locations as indicated:

  • Ruidoso: Fridays at White Mountain Elementary School.

  • Carrizozo: Fridays at Carrizozo Schools.

  • Hondo: Fridays at Hondo Schools.

  • Capitan: Thursdays at Capitan Schools.

*Home delivery is possible for those with health or transportation issues.
